ICYMI: TWiST Weekly Recap! 3/27-4/2
Hi everybody, happy Sunday!
Here are the producer’s picks for the BEST TWiST moments from last week!
Producer’s Picks:
Nick:
On Monday, Jason reacted to a Reddit post in which a 3D video game artist described how their job completely changed overnight due to text-to-image technologies.
They went from sculpting and creating original renders to mostly prompting MidJourney.
The employee summed up their position as: “I don’t want to make ‘art’ that is the result of scraped internet content, from artists, that were not asked.”
Jason had some interesting thoughts on the potential fallout if large swaths of knowledge-based and creative work get automated away.
Do we find meaning in the output or in the journey/process?
Jon:
On Friday, Jason had an enlightening conversation with Stephen Wolfram about AI.
They explored a wide range of topics, from neural nets to a potential “post-knowledge work” era.
The discussion about the rapid pace of AI evolution (43:46) was especially fascinating.
Check out episode 1711! It’s a must-listen for anyone interested in the past, present, and future of AI.
Brian:
On episode 1709, we welcomed three more founders from Founder University who pitched Jason for a chance to secure a $25K investment live on air!
These pitch competitions have undeniably become a fan favorite!
I strongly encourage all founders and aspiring entrepreneurs to watch this episode, as well as episode 1703.
On the most recent pitch competition, there was an awesome ideation session after David Axelrod pitched his startup Open Insure. (21:10)
Additionally, if you have a startup idea that you're eager to bring to life, don't hesitate to check out Founder University!
